The task

We do this for our customers basically every day. But for ourselves? We’ve set ourselves a task: the development and elaboration of a brand identity, including a visual identity that will support the future orientation of our brand, SNOOK.

The need to define ourselves was clear: 20 permanent employees. Strong personalities. Five dogs. Veteran employees and loyal freelancers. Two companies. Various spheres of activity. Old school. New School. Successful. In each of our many fields. Our minds and attitudes? Many different islands.

Differences? Without end. Opportunities? On a silver platter. Challenges? An incredible number. Friction? You bet.

SNOOK: Inventing ourselves. New.

The objective

  • Strengthen acceptance.
  • Take advantage of our opportunities.
  • Master challenges.
  • Transform friction.
  • Overcome boundaries.
  • In all directions.
  • Together.

And finally: establish our new (umbrella) brand SNOOK as the agency of choice when it comes to automotive or digital marketing.

The result

The course is set. A common understanding has been created. And the realization stands like a monolith among us: this journey never ends! With this undeniable truth we have been sailing our course for 27 years.

Philosophical

The next step for us was ignited by a change in 2010: a rebranding from proteam advertising agency and management consultancy retail 360 to SNOOK Frankfurt. Now our story continues!

SNOOK is a fish – a kingfish. It is our name giver. It has great characteristics – especially with regard to the demands we make on ourselves and the demands of our customers: He is clever and choosy, flexible and sensitive, fast and determined.

SNOOK: Inventing ourselves. New.

So far. So good. But our goals demanded more. We want to transcend boundaries! Luckily, SNOOK is a fish and fish live in water, and water is almost limitless and water always finds a way!

This realization was worth gold for us and since then we have been holding it together with Bruce Lee: “Be water, my friend!”

Rational

Since April 15th, 2019 – our 27th birthday – we have been sailing under a common flag. Or better: with a common fin. We have reduced our wordmark and added an independent figurative mark: the stylized dorsal fin of our namesake – as an upright, directional and unifying trademark.

Emotional

We’re human. We are different. We can do different things. We are professional. All of us. And we’re united by a passionate commitment to what we do. Passion creates friction, and professionally speaking, we need exactly these opposites to achieve great things.
